03 Feb – 09 Feb 2026. Milestone Week

I finished the rewrite read through of October Mornings and In Plain Sight – effectively both now 2nd drafts and story edited for continuity.

Spring-like at times art-wise

This takes me forwards to the next milestone phase of self editing both stories before I reach out to an Editor again – so I am back where I started from in 2019. (I had just had a paid for edit done on one of the other series books but had swapped back to what I then called ‘Quest’ ‘because it would be quicker’😂🤪!! And then life occurred. )

The last few years are recapped in earlier blog posts.

As a helper in advance of contracted Editor or Beta Readers I re deployed my sub for ProWritingAid which has improved no end since I last used it and it also retained all my earlier reports so I haven’t had to go rummage for them.

The rewrite and subsequent read-through, along with the reports I’ve run, have significantly boosted my mindset and confidence; this already represents an ROI far exceeding expectations. And if it holds my hand till human input comes along when I am sure I am going to publish, then it will be a lucky moment to have seized.

The first page of the first Critique from ProWritingAid on the 2nd draft of October Mornings – this story is the prequel to my Luckshill Riders series and will be my lead magnet.
