30 June 2025:

I have had a horrible head cold since last week, which while a long way from ‘chest infection’ level, has left me rather sneezy and spluttery; so I went to the Abbotsbury gardens and really enjoyed reading in the shade while thinking about illustration for the series and embellishments I can draw.

01 July 2025:

Today I am starting to depart from the pattern of Blogging I have been doing since late last summer when I got Sam Davis to take the other web sites down and I made the decision to just write under my pseudenom – and I have done that but it is time to get back to the original structure and have this website for Alex Allington updates and progress leaving the rest of my writing life and times to be found on  my old farm blog and my umbrella one; I also hope to start testing Substack to see if and how I fit in with that.

So today found me hiding from the heat and poking around with Sub Stack and also making my re-writing plans for Q 3 which starts today 🙂

The Next Few Days…

And the next day found me outside enjoying a warm but breezy writing and illustration session.

And heading off through the doors to the gardens at Abbotsbury to chill and work on some edits.

I learnt a long time ago how to write anywhere – editing I am less confident with as usually it means juggling digital connection and or paper work – Abbotsbury gardens works pretty well for it I have discovered 🙂
