I got back to the series this week and worked on time lines between this series and my other one using a spread sheet I did back in 2020. Continue reading

30 June 2025 – 06 July 2025 The Writing Week
30 June 2025:
I have had a horrible head cold since last week, which while a long way from ‘chest infection’ level, has left me rather sneezy and spluttery; so I went to the Abbotsbury gardens and really enjoyed reading in the shade while thinking about illustration for the series and embellishments I can draw.
22 June – 29 June 2025 Nothing is Ever Truly Lost: Isolation and Other Returns.
These days I skim around other writers like a pebble over water attracted by the twinkles and the chinks of light or the sound of distant laughter but then, like the pebble, I sink into isolation. I need to be more wood? Wood floats. May be I will start to be an utter plank. 15 – 22 June 2025. Horrible Windows Update to Walking Into Doors.
No idea how or why these things occur despite my machinery being set up to only update on command by me. And Back At It…09 May – 25 May 2025.

I have had enough of this. I need to get away from writing fiction for a while :).
I have packed up and put the stories away. Continue reading
27th April to Sunday 4th May: Beginnings and Beginning Again – Seasonality of Life? The Rolling Year…
‘When the sun shines grass will grow…’ Ron Huxter. It’s a fact in this part of the world and Ron imparted this, to my then much younger self, on a scrap of paper left in my lambing shed in response to my panic that ‘grass might not grow’ ( in time for what ever it was or that it might not be enough grass or the right kind of grass) Looking back now from an age that is close to that Ron was at the time and feeling familiar panic washing through me only minutes after getting out of bed that ‘my writing may never get published’ I realise that the two things are not necessarily The Same.
